| MYOPRACTIC FAQ’S GENERAL QUESTIONS What are the main benefits of Myopractic? 1. Shorter treatment time - especially beneficial for those who lead a busy lifestyle. 2. The Myopractor is able to identify the cause of the complaint, and communicate this to the client; giving the client more re-assurance. 3. Most conditions respond quicker to Myopractic than other body therapies, resulting in reduced expenses for the client. 4. The assessment procedure gives the client added confidence and reassurance. Who recognizes Myopractic? • The State Bowen Associations • The Australian Myopractic Association. This association sets the professional standards for Myopractors, and represents the interests of Myopractors. • Workcover Authority, South Australia. (Negotiations are continuing with the other States) • Current negotiations are in hand with Health Funds for rebates for Myopractic. Is Myopractic similar to ‘The Bowen Technique’ ? Yes and NO - that may seem a little confusing, let me explain. Because both systems are based on the training given by Tom Bowen, there are obvious similarities. Those used to being treated with ‘The Bowen Technique’ will be familiar with some of the aspects of Myopractic, and many are impressed with the thoroughness of the Myopractic evaluation and the additional relief and benefits it provides. I am new to the field of body-work. Is Myopractic for me? The short answer is YES. In addition to training in the practical aspects of Myopractic and the science theory, the student also receives training in: • Understanding medical terminology and the common medical tests. • Communication skills, both with medical professionals and with your client. • Understanding and interpreting human behaviour • Reading and basic interpretation of X-rays. What does the future hold for Myopractic? • Continuing research and development. Refinements and additions to Myopractic will be presented at the annual conventions. • Advertising and promotional activities to raise the profile of Myopractic. • Free clinics for treating the physically and mentally handicapped. This continues the tradition of Tom Bowen, a man of great principle and compassion. PRACTITIONER’S QUESTIONS What are the main benefits of Myopractic? 1. Increased operating efficiency - the shorter treatment time results in increased profitability and reduced costs. 2. Less physical effort is required in the majority of cases (compared to other body therapies). 3. The body analysis provides you with vital feedback at each stage of your treatment, indicating whether the condition has resolved or whether further work is required. 4. The assessment procedure accurately identifies the true cause, allowing you to tailor the treatment to the client and avoids unnecessary work. I am currently qualified in other another body therapy/therapies. How will Myopractic benefit me? • The demand for Myopractic is growing rapidly. When you meet the qualifications required, you will be added to our National Referral System. • Using Myopractic, you will be able to treat more clients in a shorter time, with less physical effort. • Your current qualifications/experience may entitle you to exemptions from some of the modules, thus reducing your training costs. • Training in Myopractic can be completed with minimal disruption to your current clinic operation; most practical modules are held on weekends, and the theoretical modules can be completed at your own pace. • The Radiology module provides you with the basic knowledge of how to read an X-ray and some basic interpretations. As well as increasing the professional profile of the Myopractor, it instills added confidence and trust in the client. • Postural work included in Myopractic 2 • The Myopractic 2 module includes training in the treatment of the physically and mentally handicapped. • The Medical Terminology modules gives an understanding of medical terms, as well as an understanding of common medical tests. |
